   The company founder, Steve Gaenzle, is a veteran law enforcement officer of nearly 26 years.  Steve began his career in El Paso, Texas, his hometown.  The knowledge of the Spanish language was vital for effective investigative skills.  Steve was a jailer, patrolman, homicide detective and supervisor in El Paso, Texas.  Steve later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and continued his law enforcement profession.  In Colorado, Steve was a patrolman, homicide detective and an undercover detective assigned to the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force.  Through Steve's career, Steve has instructed in law enforcement training academies in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana and in Colorado. Steve has received decorations throughout his career such as Meritorious Service, Dedication to Community and the Distinguished Service Medal.  Although removed from the Mexican/American border, Spanish language requirements were always needed.  Steve was utilized as a field interpreter for local, state and federal agencies.  Steve has been identified as an expert in the Spanish language in courtroom testimony. Steve is frequently sought as a key note speaker in law enforcement, prosecution and first responder training symposiums.

     Steve has designed Spanish language courses for 30 years.  Course design has included such topics as unique jail terminology, traffic stops/felony stops, traffic crash investigations, domestic violence investigations, drug investigations, assault and robbery investigations, dispatch concerns, medical terminology, arrest commands, danger phrases, cross-cultural barriers between Hispanics and other populations and the list continues.  Steve has instructed Spanish language courses in nearly a dozen states and has instructed thousands of first responders.  Steve’s love to facilitate other emergency responders to be able to help another person is the true aspiration of his career.

     Steve has authored, Spanish for the Peace Officer©, and co-authored, Yo Si Puedo, Yes I Can – Spanish Language Concepts for Law Enforcement©.  Currently, Steve is working on another first responder book.

     Steve is a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) and a life member of Homicide Investigators of Texas.  Additionally, Steve is a Past-President for the FOP in Colorado Springs, CO.
